Scrapbook Apps for the Hardcore Scrapbooker

It was only a matter of time until I discovered scrapbook apps. After all, there are apps for just about everything, from planning your wedding to launching birds at pigs. Why wouldn't there be scrap booking apps for those of us who just can't get enough scrapbooking fun?

Whether you have an iPad, an iPhone, or you just steal your kids' on occasion, these apps are great ways to pass the time and get new scrapbooking ideas. Have fun exploring them -- they're all worth your time.

Awesome scrapbook apps

If you're as obsessed with scrapbooking as I am, you won't be able to get enough of these awesome apps!

1. Skrappy

At $3.99, this is one of the best ways to organize your photos on your iPhone or iPad. It has somewhat limited exporting methods (although you can email your results if you like them enough to keep them), but it's an awesome way to create scrapbooks and memories right on your digital device.

With Skrappy, you can not only create scrapbooks and displays from the photos stored on your iPhone (and let's face it, half of us probably use our cell phones as cameras more often than we use actual cameras), you can download clipart or web images, and even set the scrapbook to music from your iTunes library.

Skrappy is definitely one of the best scrapbook apps out there -- I had a blast exploring it and never get tired of its features.

2. Coolibah

Coolibah is free, but their layouts cost $0.99 each. Trust me: it's worth it. Skrappy is a more cost efficient scrapbook app, but Coolibah has far more variety, fun, and excitement for you to explore with your photos.

Basically, this is a full fledged digital scrap booking program tucked right into a portable device. In other words, you can sit in the doctor's office, bored to tears, and scrapbook right on your cell phone without any of the mess of normal scrapbooks.

There is way too much to Coolibah to explain here, from shadowing options to fonts to framing elements. If you're a scrapbook enthusiast, this is one of the fist scrapbook apps you should get.

3. Scrap Pad for iPad

At $4.99, this is another worthwhile investment, but it's not much use for your iPhone. If, though, you have an iPad, you should definitely check out Scrap Pad. It's a fantastic app that does pretty much the same stuff as the two described above. It doesn't have quite as much variety as Coolibah, but on the other hand, you don't have to pay for each individual layout, so it's sort of a cost exchange.

Because it's for iPad, you can also print layouts or upload them to Facebook easily, which is a really nice feature for any scrapbook app.

These are three of my very favorite scrapbook apps. There are quite a few out there, some free and some not, but if you're just entering the world of scrapbook apps, this is where I recommend you start.
